Compulsory Alberta Auto Insurance
When the government steps in, and sets up a rule that makes things about Alberta auto insurance compulsory, the issue isn’t the government doing the private sector, i.e. the insurance industry, a favor. In fact, the government, is usually the larger insurer in these cases. But in stead, the issue is financial risks. What used to happen, and what most drivers just don’t realize is that bankruptcies due to car accidents used to be pretty common place, just about as common place as bankruptcies due to medical costs in the States is today. So this is the real reason why this sort of thing is compulsory.
